Do you have a great idea for an invention? We can show you how to do a patent search using the United States Patent & Trademark Web site. Basic computer skills and familiarity with the internet is preferred.

protect intellectual property - patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade
secrets.

Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks – What’s the Difference?

This class was developed by librarians in the Science and Technology Division of the Akron-Summit County Library in September 2006. The primary goal of the class was to introduce people to the different types of intellectual property. Ways to protect intellectual property on the state (Ohio) or federal level was also presented.
