AN INTRODUCTION TO TRADEMARKS – NAMING YOUR PRODUCT AND PROTECTING YOUR BRAND
Whether you are starting a new business or
expanding a current business, trademarks are a
great way to establish your corporate identity. Our
class will demonstrate how to search state and
federal trademark databases.
Please note: meet in Meeting Room 1 on the
High Street Level.

INTRODUCTION TO ONLINE PATENT SEARCHING
Do you have a great idea for an invention? We
can show you how to do a patent search using the
United States Patent & Trademark Web site. Basic
computer skills and familiarity with the internet
is preferred. Please note: this class will meet in
the Patent Alcove in the Science & Technology
department on the following:
Saturdays, 10 am-12 pm: September 19;
October 17; November 21

AN INTRODUCTION TO INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Just like other types of property, intellectual
property needs to be protected from unauthorized
use. This program is an introduction to the four
ways to protect intellectual property–patents,
trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.
