In order to provide an environment that is as safe as possible for staff and for customers, face coverings will be required when our buildings reopen on July 27. This requirement will be in place for the duration of the public health emergency. Exceptions will be made for individuals with a medical exemption from wearing a face covering. Additionally, children under the age of two (2) are not required to wear a face covering. Individuals must wear face coverings over both their nose and mouth. Disposable face masks and hand sanitizer will be available at Library location entrances. Library staff will be wearing face coverings as required by a State of Ohio public health order.
Individuals unable to wear a face covering for a medical reason may enter and use the Library but will receive limited service. Staff must maintain a safe physical distance of six feet or work behind a clear barrier when serving customers without masks, both of which will impact our ability to assist with computer use, with locating materials, and with other activities that typically require less distance than six feet.
If you are uncomfortable wearing a mask for any reason, we will be happy to help you through Outside Pick-up Service (Branches and Main Library) or drive-up window service (Main Library) and by phone or e-mail using the contact page on the Library’s website. Children may not be unattended per the Library’s policy on Unattended Children.
Any individual whose behavior is deemed to threaten others with possible exposure to the Coronavirus, such as refusing to wear a mask or to maintain physical distancing, will be required to leave the library.
